The state plans to blow up the old Kosciuszko Bridge within the next couple of months. Crews will use dynamite to demolish the bridge. The central section of the old bridge will be lowered onto a flatboat and shipped away and the parts of the structure that are over land will be rigged up with explosives. The plan is that they will fall to the ground, according to the Department of Transport. The 77-year-old Bridge is situated approx. 6 miles from East Village Apartments. It should be an awesome event to experience!
